Getting Started
After installing the app, go to your Shopify admin → Online Store → Themes → Customize. Find the page you want to add the map to, click "Add Section" or "Add Block", and select "Store Map Directory". Save and publish. The map will appear automatically with your locations.
In your Shopify admin, open the StoreMapDirectory app. Click "Add New Location" and fill in the details: Store Name, Full Address, City, Country, ZIP, Phone, Email, and any plan-specific fields (image, hours, social links, etc.). Click Save and the location appears on your map instantly.
No — latitude and longitude are optional. Leave them as 0 and the app will automatically geocode your address using OpenStreetMap's Nominatim service. However, for the most accurate map placement and directions, we recommend entering the correct coordinates. You can get them from Google Maps by right-clicking your location and selecting "What's here?".
Plans & Billing
All plans include a 14-day free trial. You get full access to all features of your chosen plan with no charge. If you don't cancel before day 14, Shopify will automatically begin billing you at the plan rate. You can cancel anytime by uninstalling the app.
Open the StoreMapDirectory app in your Shopify admin and go to the Plans section. Select your desired plan and confirm. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. If you believe you were charged in error, please email billing@codeoptix.in within 30 days of the charge and we'll review your case.
Map & Directions
This usually happens when lat/lng are set to 0 and the auto-geocoder can't find the exact address. To fix this: go to Edit Location in the app dashboard and enter the correct Latitude and Longitude manually. Get exact coordinates from Google Maps (right-click your store → "What's here?").
The most reliable fix is to enter the correct Latitude and Longitude for the location. When coordinates are present, directions use them directly (very accurate). Without coordinates, directions are based on the address text which may occasionally be ambiguous for Google Maps.
Yes. The "Near Me" button in the map widget asks for the visitor's browser location permission. If granted, it sorts stores by distance from the visitor. No location data is sent to our servers — this is all processed in the browser.
Features & Customization
Custom CSS is available on the FLEX and UNLIMITED plans. In the app dashboard go to Settings → Custom CSS and enter your CSS overrides. The map uses CSS variables like --accent for the primary color which automatically pulls from your Shopify theme settings.
When editing a location, set "Show Trending Discounts" to Yes and enter the discount code. The code will appear as a highlighted coupon on the location detail panel for visitors to see and use.
